We'll Meet Again - Sing Along songs

Well meet again logo

There is nothing like a bit of audience interaction so the lyrics of several of the songs were printed in the programme for the audience to use to join in.

Act One

Bless 'Em All

Bless 'Em All! Bless 'Em All! The Long and the short and the tall;

Bless all the sergeants and the double-u o ones,

Bless all the corporals and their Blinkin' sons,

'Cos we're saying goodbye  to them all,

As back to their billets they crawl

You'll get no promotion this side of the ocean,

So Cheer up my lads, Bless 'Em All!

Kiss me Goodnight Sergeant Major

Kiss me goodnight Sergant Major,

Tuck me in my little wooden bedm

We all love you Sergeant Major,

When We hear you Bawling "Show a Leg",

Don't forget to wake me in the morning,

And bring me round a nice hot cup of tea,

Kiss me goodnight Sergeant Major,

Sereant Major be a mother to me.

Roll out the Barrel

Roll out the barrel, We'll have a barrel of fun,

Roll out the barrel, We've got the blues on the run

Zing! Boom! Tararrel, Ring out a sing of good cheer

Now's the time to roll out the barrel, for the gans all here.

Pack up your Troubles/It's a Long Way to Tipperary

Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag, And smile, smile, smile.

While you've a lucifer to light your fag, Smile boys that's the style

What's the use of worrying, It never was worthwile, so

Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag, And smile, smile, smile

it's a long way to Tipperary, it's a long way to go;

It;'s a long way to Tipperary, to the sweetest girl I know.

Goodbye Piccadilly. Farewell Leicester Square;

It's a long wayto tipperary, but my heart's right there.

Act Two

The White Cliffs of Dover

There'll be bluebirds over the White Cliffs of Dover

Tomorrow, just you wait and see

There'll be love and laughter and peace ever after

Tomorrow, when the world is free

The Shepherd will tend his sheep, the vally will bloom again

And Jimmy will go to sleep in his own little room again

There'll be bluebirds over the White Cliffs of Dover

Tomorrow, just you wait and see.

Land of Hope & Glory

Land of hope and glory, mother of the free

how shall we extol thee, who are born of thee

Wider still and wider, shall thy bounds be set

God, who made thee mighty, make thee mightier yet

God, who made thee mighty, make thee mighter yet!

We'll Meet Again

We'll meet again, Don't know where, Don't know when

But I know we'll meet again some sunny day

Keep smiling through just like you always do

'Til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away

So will you please say hello to the folks that I know

Tell them I won't be long

They'll be happy to know that as you saw me go

I was singing this song

We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when

But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.
