EODS is one of the oldest Amateur Dramatic societies in the country, with a history dating back to 1881. Our main activities centre around staging two main shows per year - usually in March and September.
It's a bit of a Forth Road bridge job, with rehearsals for one show beginning just a couple of weeks after the previous show has been performed - but we have many talented members, and so there is the chance for individuals to have time off!
As well as the main shows, members are often involved in other projects - such as writing and performing shows in local festivals and competitions.
As well as the performing and directing, many members are involved in all of the other activities that are needed to enable a show to be put on - scenery construction, stage management, promotion and ticket selling, and all of the 'front of house' activities on the week of the show.
We also have an active social calendar - not least our regular quiz evenings. Why not join us and be part of this vibrant and very friendly group. Just contact Ruth Organ (Membership Secretary) on 07989 763920 or click on the Contact Us icon and send us a message.
A small Committee oversee the activities of the Society - deciding on and planning the forthcoming shows, as well as the social activities.
