As EODS has been performing since 1881, it is a well-known society in and around Evesham.
EODS has frequently been asked to perform for other evens in addition to those performed regularly, such as the More than Words concert at the Evesham Festival of Words in July 2016. If you would like EODS to perform at your event please do contact our committee.
November 2017 was a step back in time to the 1970's when EODS performed "9 - 5 The Musical". With a wonderful story and music (written by Dolly Parton), the tremendously strong cast produced a very professionaly show telling the story of ladies who kidnap their egotistical, bigotted boss and prove that the women are just as good (if not better) at running a business. The audience loved it!
May 2017 saw the amazing play "Brassed-Off" in conjunction with Bretforton Silver Band! It was performed at the Evesham Arts Centre from 18th to 20th May 2017 and was a complete sell-out with every seat taken, plus a standing ovation every night!
November 2016 was "Chess - The Musical", a story involving a romantic triangle between two world chess champions and a woman who managesone and falls in love with the other. The fabulous lyrics are by Tim Rice and the music by Bjorn Ulvaeus and BennyAndersson (formerly of ABBA). EODS is very proud to be awarded 'Best Musical' in the NODA awards for its district.
In May 2016 we performed "A Night At The Movies" - powerful, emotional and iconic songs from Movies spanning from the 1930's to the present day. A spectacle of music, movie clips and dance.
September 2015 was a sell-out of Oliver! - the famous Lionel Bart musical.
In March 2015 we performed 'The Music in Me' - an eclectic selection of songs showing the impact Music has on all our lives, songs chosen because of the significanct meaning they held to each performer.
